Overview

Dulux Trade Vinyl Soft Sheen offers a premium, washable emulsion that delivers a tough mid-sheen finish. Created with advanced AkzoNobel technology, this water-based durable paint is ideal for interior walls and ceilings, combining excellent coverage with a subtle sheen that's softer than traditional silk emulsion. It provides a long-lasting, wipeable surface, perfect for high-traffic areas or spaces that require easy maintenance. With coverage of up to 16m² per litre, it's an excellent choice for most interior spaces.

Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell is recommended for areas with high condensation, like kitchens or bathrooms.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Preparation

Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and correctly prepared (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry)

Remove all loose and defective paint. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.

Seal surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer.

Where necessary, rub down and then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth to avoid dust.

Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate Polycell Trade Polyfilla.

Application

To get the best results, ensure the surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, and dry. It is recommended to test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure compatibility and that you are happy with the finished results.

Stir thoroughly before use.

Seal new or bare surfaces with a thinned first coat of Dulux Trade Vinyl Soft Sheen (up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint).

The normal finishing process is 2 full coats of Dulux Trade Vinyl Soft Sheen, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition, where similar colours are used, 1 coat may be sufficient. For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient tinted paint for each job at one time from the same source. To ensure colour consistency, it is recommended to blend tins before use.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
